Trending:Why You Should Always Switch Off Your Phone Before Removing the battery Phones.

See Why You Should Always Switch Off Your Phone Before Removing The Battery

when you switched the phone off correctly, it knows that it power will be shut down shortly. That means, all the apps and the operating system get the chance to save whatever needs to be saved and to go through their proper shut-down process.
Removing the battery without switching the phone off will immediately crash every running applications as well as the operating
system(OS). It's just like unplugging your system while it's running. You can do it, but it's not advice-able, a bad idea though.

Other thing is that While switching off your device, the operating system will make sure that every thing connected to the phone's memory and external memory is properly and carefully closed. If you remove the battery before switching off your phone, you may corrupt the memory which may lead to unexpected behavior.
To summarize everything, Please always switch off your phone before removing the battery.

WAEC Bans Two Schools In Imo State For Exam Malpractices

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has barred two secondary schools in Imo State from registering as an examination centre or presenting their students as candidates in any of its examinations for a period of 5 years.

Reports stated that The council also derecognized 28 schools for two years as a result examination malpractices.

The Head, Public Affairs of the council, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, who disclosed this on Thursday declined to name the affected schools, he said the schools are usually referred by their centre numbers and not by their names.

He added that WAEC officials were locked out for more than 30 minutes in the second school obviously for examination malpractice to perpetrate.

He noted that as for the derecognized schools, examinations will still hold in their schools but their teachers will not be used as invigilators.

He added that there are 28 of those schools across the country and they can still reapply after two years, stating that things have been put in place to prevent a recurrence of examination malpractice.

My Secondary School Students Better Than Nigerian Public Universities Students

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has described graduates of Nigerian public universities as brainless, saying they cannot communicate in English with the students of his private secondary school, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) Academy.

Abubakar, who spoke on Thursday evening in Yola during his birthday celebration organised by the management of AUN, said public universities graduates cannot fit into private industries due to their poor education and character.

“I was in the University of Zik in Akwa in Anambra State on Wednesday on the invitation of the university. There is no student in public universities that can speak English in an error-free manner like the head boy of my secondary, who just finished addressing us now.

“When the head boy of AUN Academy, Abdullahi Sani, started speaking, I was thinking it is one of the lecturers in AUN, but only for him to introduce himself as the head boy of AUN Academy,” he stated.

Atiku said his ambition to establish AUN was to ensure that Nigeria produced graduates of high quality, both in learning and character, at an affordable rate and avoid the stress of traveling to other countries in search of quality education.

He pointed out that only quality education could bring about technology development in any country in the world, not oil, gold or other mineral resources.

Atiku noted that a country that places emphasis on oil, instead of manpower development, is preparing to collapse, pointing out that quality education produces quality manpower that turns a country into a wealthy nation.

While addressing students of the Law Department, the former vice president restated that Nigeria would continue to move backward unless it is restructured to address the problems threatening its existing.

“When government set up the last constitutional conference, I sent my proposal to the conference and when the members received it, they all agree with the content and resolved to include it in their final report as part of their resolutions.

Appeal Court Adjourns Judgement On Ondo PDP Tussle

The court of Appeal had adjourned the much awaited judgement sine dine, that's end of road for mimiko and jegede

Karma is really at work

Court adjourns judgment on Jegede’s appeal indefinitely

The Justice Ibrahim Saulawa-led panel of the Court of Appeal in Abuja has adjourned indefinitely the judgment on the appeal filed by substituted governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming election in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede.

Jegede, who belongs to the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the PDP, is by his appeal challenging his replacement by the Independent National Electoral Commission with Jimoh Ibrahim of Ali Modu Sheriff faction of the party as the governorship candidate for the election scheduled to take place on November 26.

The Saulawa panel also adjourned all other pending appeals, including one filed by Makarfi, relating to the dispute over the governorship ticket of the PDP in November 26 election.

The panel said on Friday when its judgments on Jegede’s and Makarfi’s appeals, which it heard between Wednesday and Thursday, were scheduled to be delivered, that it took the decision to adjourn “sine die” (indefinitely) to await the decision of the Supreme Court on interlocutory appeals filed by the respondents.

Justice Saulawa also cited the motion filed by the respondents before the Supreme Court on Thursday, asking for an order of the apex court to disband the Saulawa panel and take disciplinary action by going ahead to hear the appeal in defiance of established judicial principle.

The nine respondents led by Mr. Biyi Poroye, who filed the motion before the Supreme Court are state officials of the Sheriff-led faction of the PDP in the South-West zone.

The appeals by Makarfi and Jegede are challenging the orders made by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja on June 29 and October 14, 2016, which INEC acted on by dropping Jegede and replacing him with Ibrahim as the party’s standard bearer in the forthcoming election in the state.

But dissatisfied with the hearing of the appeals by the Saulawa panel despite their pending interlocutory appeals before the Supreme Court, Poroye and others had filed the motion before the apex court.

Fayose Celebrates His 56th Birthday On The Streets Of Ado-Ekiti

Fayose celebrates birthday on the streets

In his characteristic unconventional approach to governance and the art of making his people happy, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Thursday hit some streets of Ado Ekiti with birthday goodies as part of activities marking the celebration of his 56th birthday.

With market women and passers-by shouting Oshoko... Oshoko...as they trooped out to celebrate with him, Mr. Fayose asked his well wishers to line up in orderly manner as he sliced and shared the cake amongst them with a little cash for coke to drive it down.

Reacting to the unusual development, Governor Fayose said it is only right for him to give back to the same people voted him into office. He said "It is a show of love to my people, we can't sit in the government house and enjoy the comfort of the office without remembering them, I got a lot of gifts on my birthday, cakes, yam tubers, cows, rice and so on, how many can I eat? How many clothes can I wear at a time?

"It is just normal, just good for me to go back to the street and give it back to the people that put me in the government house, this is my style, this is me naturally, just that this time around it is more elaborate moving from one junction to the other to ensure about 500 persons per junction get something small on my birthday.

"The more people you can touch, the better for your life today and tomorrow, these are the set of people that will never walk into the government house asking for contract, asking for help, they will not even be allowed to get in unless the governor leave the comfort of his office to come and meet with them wherever they are and that is exactly what I am doing.

"This are the people that employed us into the office, they should not be abandoned for one minute, we must stay with them continuously at every opportunity".

ASUU Strike- Union Vows Not To Back Down Until Demands Are Met

Chairman of the University Of Calabar Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU), Tony Eyang, has said the union will not back down until its demands are met.

ASUU commenced a two-week warning strike on Wednesday, November 16, in protest of the Federal Government's refusal to implement the 2009 Memorandum of Understanding with the Union among other issues.

Speaking to Vanguard on Thursday, Eyang expressed regrets that the Union had to resort to the industrial action.
"We are avowed to our responsibility to the future of this country; it is regrettable that over and over again we get to this point but what we have resolved to do is that government does the needful and we will not surrender even if it means our embarking on a total and indefinite strike for years."
According to him, the union has made several efforts to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari , Minister of Education and the National Assembly to present to them a firsthand view of what is going on in the education sector but their efforts have been unsuccessful.

He said: "When the present government came into office, ASUU exercised a lot of patience, a lot of understating as a form a support to the government and we indicated intention to have an audience with the President who is the visitor to all the federal universities, the Minister of Education and the National Assembly so as to make government see the need to address these pending issues but that has not been granted up till now."
Eyang added that the government never showed any commitment to address any of the issues being agitated by the union including those that do not involve money like the low subvention to the universities and the Treasury Single Account, which are stifling the universities and have turned the lecturers to beggars as salaries are not paid in full for several months.
"There is a new form of slavery where university teachers are not given what they are entitled to which implies that the federal government has unilaterally reached a decision to reduce the entitlement of academic staff of universities which of course is against the labour law," Eyang said.

He said the subventions to the universities have fallen in the past ten months, which, according to him, has increasingly made the universities unable to pay the full entitlement of its workers.

IMSU Student Arrested For Arranging Her Own Kidnap To Extort Her Parent

IMSU Student Arrested for Arranging Her Own Kidnap in Order to Extort N6m From Her Parents

A female student of IMSU tried to punish her allegedly stingy and rich parents by extorting money from them after she planned her own kidnap.

The command paraded a female student of Imo State University for allegedly arranging her kidnap, to extort money from her family.

The suspect, who gave her name to the police as Chinwendu Udensi, however, told reporters that she is Miss Jennet Okoro. She said she is from Imo State.

Also paraded were the three men that perfected the plan. Thirty-three other suspects were also paraded for offences ranging from cultism to robbery, car snatching, kidnapping, among others.

The police commissioner said Miss Udensi plotted her kidnap and demanded N6 million ransom from her parents.

He said she was, however, exposed when she sent one of her accomplices to pick the ransom on Obiri Ikerre flyover at Obio/Akpor.

Odesanya said: “On November 6 about 4pm, Chinwendu Udensi, a female student of Imo State University, was kidnapped by gunmen in Imo State.

“The kidnappers called and demanded N6million ransom. Men of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit led by Ben Igweh set a bait for them and as they went to pick the money on Obiri Ikwerre flyover in company of the victim, they were arrested.

“It was later discovered that the victim connived with them and arranged her kidnap to extort money from her parents.”

In an interview with reporters, the suspect, who claimed to be a student of of Abia State University, Uturu Okigwe in Abia State admitted the crime.

She said she did it to get money from her wealthy but stingy father.

Her words: “Nothing much happened. I wanted to collect money from my family, so I faked my kidnap. I did it to continue my schooling.”

Asked if her parents did not take care of her, she answered in the affirmative.

Regretting her action, Chinwendu said: “I’m not happy about my present condition because I never thought it will be like this.

“I sincerely apologise to my family for the trauma I might have caused them in a bid to extort money from them for my project and other requirements. To my friends out there, my advice is that they should not involve themselves in such a crime.”

Also paraded was the suspected killer of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Port Harcourt.

The suspect, Jon Ihejekwu, a dealer in Almaco doors and windows, said his gang killed the police officer for attempting to prevent them from escaping with a stolen vehicle.

The police boss said 25 suspected kidnappers have been arraigned.

Trump Will Stop Buhari From Islamizing Nigeria Fani-kayode

A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has stated the election of Donald Trump as the President of the United States of America would help to truncate President Muhammadu Buhari’s alleged Islamic agenda.

Fani, while congratulating Trump, said he was confident the businessman would team up with Russian President, Vladmir Putin, and Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Nethanyahu, to curb terrorism worldwide.

Fani-Kayode said, “Those that came to power last year on the mantle of Islamic domination, religious intolerance and racial discrimination and that espoused the most hideous form of ethnic bigotry and religious fanaticism certainly have a lot of soul-searching to do because their friends in the Obama White House are on their way out and their darling Hilary is not coming in to replace him.

“I assure you that President Donald Trump, who I have known and studied closely for many years, will literally give them hell. Not only will he resist their constant and gross violations of human rights and civil liberties, he will also bring them to justice for their regular use of genocide against religious and ethnic minorities in our country.

“He will also confront their hidden agenda to Islamise Nigeria and turn us into a nation of ethnic and religious vassals that must bow before President Muhammadu Buhari and his kinsmen.”

Fani-Kayode recently regained freedom from the nest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over allegations of N26 million money laundering charges.

Ifeanyi Ubah Dissociates Himself From 2017 Governorship Campaign Posters

Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah in a statement today dissociates himself from campaign posters that flooded Awka today tagged “Restoration 2017” with his picture and the inscription “Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for Governor 2017 ” powered by Concerned Anambra professionals.

“Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah ‘s attention was drawn to posters pasted within the state capital,Awka and its environs adorned with the name and Picture of Dr
Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah with an inscription:
‘ Restoration 2017 , Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for Governor of Anambra State 2017 ‘. And with another inscription on the same poster: “Powered by : Concerned Anambra Professionals”

Let it be well noted that persons doing this do not have the consent of Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and Ubah has distanced himself from such posters even as he urges the general public to discountenance everything connected thereof.

Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is focusing on finding answers to the disheartening youth unemployment crisis bedeviling our society and which has eaten deep into the fabrics of our system.

Ubah plans to curb this through his numerous employment platforms and windows for now and would not be distracted by the politics of 2017 Anambra

Governorship election and its attendant posters.
While democracy allows for people to take positions on political matters, he frowns at using his name and pictures for politics without his approval as that could be called suspicious behaviour on the part of those behind it.

Those pasting the posters may be trying to express their democratic /political view ,but the truth is that Ubah is still very focused on issues of employment generation through his private sector multi interventionist platforms .

Ubah therefore, dissociate himself from these “posters”, the “message” and the “association” responsible for this unauthorized adventure.

Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who is also the President of the victorious FCIfeanyi Ubah (Anambra Warriors ) will join the team and fans in celebrating their victory in 2015/2016 FA Cup finals as the Trophy touches down to Anambra State on 16th November 2016 for the first time in the history of Anambra State since its creation, in what will be a statewide victory tour/parade with the trophy and wouldn’t like to be dragged into the posters of 2017 election.

It is also of note that pasting of 2017 Governorship election posters now by anybody, amounts to distraction to H.E Gov Obiano and an act capable of overheating the polity.

Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia
SSA Media to Dr Ifeanyi Ubah

My View Regarding The Election (US)'- TB Joshua Replies Critics

Upon release of the US general election results, criticisms have littered the social media over the failed prophecy by TB Joshua, which stated that Hillary Clinton Would win the election. However, the cleric has taken to his facebook page to express his view concerning the matter, here's what he has to say; (Pictures Below)

MY VIEW REGARDING THE ELECTION (US)

We have seen the outcome of the election in America. Having read, you will notice that it is all about the popular vote, the vote of the majority of Americans.

In this case, we need the Spirit of a Prophet to recognize or to know a Prophet. Our levels are different. We are not on the same level.

We might have great cathedrals, huge bells, and all kinds of activities that are good by human standards but human point of view is limited.

1 Corinthians 1:25. The foolishness of God is wiser than that of men and the weakness of God is stronger than that of men. There is no shortcut to spiritual maturity unless earthly understanding gives way to spiritual enlightenment.

I see many people trying to interpret prophets on the basis of their own minds and ideas. The prophecy seems to cause uproar, to many who gave it different meaning and interpretation.

Finally, campaigns and elections in any democratic country in the world are never about one person, it is about the country we care and love. Whichever way it happens, we must accept the outcome and then look to the future (God), the Author and Finisher.

Democracy is all about accommodation. All democrats must value the process of democracy more than the product.

God bless the United States of America.

Dangote Pledges To Help FG Turn Around Nigeria’s Economy Business

Foremost industrialist and richest man in Africa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has restated his commitment to assist the Federal Government in turning around and diversifying the country’s economy.

He said this in Lagos on Friday where he was honoured as “Man of the Year 2015’’ by The Guardian Newspapers Limited.

He said that he was working hard with his company to take Nigeria to the next level and that within the next two and half years, Nigeria was going to excel in some critical areas.

“We want to do that by looking at critical areas where Nigeria is not doing well in terms of local production and tackle the problem areas.

“Number one is refinery, Dangote Group is building a refinery which will produce 650,000 barrels of petrol per day; the current capacity that we have as a country now, both the ones that are working and the ones not working, is just 450,000 barrels per day.

“Our petrochemical is ten times that of Eleme, we are at 1.3 million, Eleme is 120,000, so it will be the largest petrochemical industry in Africa.

“In fertilizer production, we are not only trying to satisfy the market, but our size is three million tonnes which is ten times more than what is available in Nigeria today.

“We are trying to make sure we satisfy the local needs and also export and we thought about how to address our power issues, the only way we can address power issues is to have enough gas and sort out distribution.

“Distribution is important because unless you collect money from the consumers, you cannot grow.

“There are two sub-sea gas pipelines coming from Bonny which will produce about three billion volume of gas which is exactly about the same size of LNG.

“We are committed to turning around the economy of Nigeria and in the next two and a half years, Nigeria will be the highest oil petroleum products export country, will be the highest in terms of fertilizer export, will be the highest in petrochemicals export.

“Nigeria will also be the highest in terms of cement export in Africa,’’ he said.

Speaking on bailouts for the states, Dangote said: “I don’t believe the Federal Government should continue to be bailing out the states, the states have to sit down and plan to cut costs instead of looking for bailout and being lazy.

“They can create jobs and give incentives to people to come and invest, they should assure people that they are not going to be slammed with various taxes which is what some of them do.’’

Dangote added that the current situation of the economy would push people to work harder, to work in terms of diversifying the economy.

Earlier, the publisher of Guardian Newspapers Limited, Lady Maiden Ibru, had said that they were honouring Dangote because of his impact on the lives of Nigerians and Africa.

She restated the role of the newspaper in the society as working for the enduring benefits of the people and being critical and identifying as well as publicizing heroes as a way of redirecting the values of the society.

The first “Man of the Year’’ award was presented to former president Olusegun Obasanjo in 1987.

Some of the guests at the event were former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Bishop Alexander Gianniris of the Diocese of Greek Orthodox Church, and former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Chris Ali. (NANs)

Chief Offor said members of the National Assembly would be led to the funeral ceremony by the former Presidents of the Senate, Chief Ken Nnamani and Senstor Anyim Pius Anyim, while many people from all walks of life will have promised to come.

“My father was a very nice man, he gave me so much encouragement and everything you see me doing was initiated by him.He is a passionate philanthropist who would always like to see smiles on the faces of everyone that came in contact with him and I must tell you that most of the guys you see me hang out with were introduced to me by him.

Trending:Wife Of LASU Lecturer Pregnant For Her Bricklayer Lover (pics)

The wife of Lagos State University (LASU) lecturer, Mrs Kafayat Oyekunle, has revealed that she is now pregnant for her bricklayer lover, Fatai Alimi.

Alimi was arraigned in court on Thursday for allegedly snatching her from her husband, Suraju Oyekunle in Lagos, Nigeria.

The 36-year-old woman made the revelation when she went to the court to bail Alimi from custody.

She also said her decision to dump her husband and move into Alimi’s home was due to her inability to bear another child after 13 years she had lived with Oyekunle.

She revealed that after their only son was born 12 years ago, they had tried all they could to bear another child to no avail until a few months ago when she met Alimi and she immediately became pregnant for him.

Kafayat denied she was abducted and said it was a decision she took voluntarily because Oyekunle was not taking care of her.

She said since she met Alimi, things had changed in her life and she now had rest of mind.

She also revealed that her family was aware of the development and are in support of her decision.

She added that she will do everything possible to bail Alimi.

When asked to compare Alimi with Oyekunle, she said Alimi was better in everything despite his poor status in the society.

The 34-year-old Alimi was arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly snatching Kafayat.
The incident happened in Igando area of Lagos, Nigeria, where Oyekunle resided with Kafayat and their only son.

Kafayat was allegedly so much in love with Alimi that she packed all her property and moved into the bricklayer’s small apartment in undisclosed place in the same Igando with their only male child.

Kafayat had married Oyegunle for 13 years and the marriage produced their only son before she met Alimi and moved out of her matrimonial home on 15 October, 2016.

P.M. EXPRESS gathered that Kafayat told her neighbours that she decided to consolidate on the new relationship by moving into Alimi’s apartment when her husband travelled.

When her husband returned from his trip and did not find his wife and son, he started making inquiries and neighbours informed him that his wife had moved into Alimi’s house as his new wife.

Oyekunle went straight and reported the matter at Igando police division who trailed Alimi and eventually arrested him at a construction site in Igando where he had gone to work.

Ogun State-born Alimi was brought to court on Thursday and charged with conduct likely to cause breach of peace by taking Kafayat and the only son produced through her marriage to Suraju, knowing full well that she was legally married.

He pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mr A. A. Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N25,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 12 December, 2016.
